Birdon offers a broad range of maritime services including ship repair and vessel construction for Government, Defence and Commercial customers. Our large, in-house Engineering team specialises in vessel hull and sub-system design and integration of bespoke builds to meet customer needs.
Birdon also provides Marine Logistics services including sea freight and vehicular Ferry Operations.
We bring expertise in waterjet marine propulsion systems and experience working with autonomous vessels, remote control vessels, and control systems.

PORT AUTHORITY NSW FIRE FIGHTING VESSELS
Birdon was awarded the contract by Port Authority NSW to design and construct 2 Fire Fighting Vessels to operate in Sydney Harbour and Port Botany.
TRANSPORT FOR NSW - PASSENGER FERRIES
Transport for NSW and TransDev contracted Birdon to design and construct 24m and 35m Passenger Ferries for Sydney Harbour and Paramatta River.
TRANSPORT FOR NSW - VEHICULAR FERRIES
Birdon provides regular ship repair, docking and maintenance services to Transport for NSW vehicular ferries at out Port Macquarie Shipyard. In addition, we operate vehicular ferries on behalf of Transport for NSW in 5 Sydney Locations.
CAPE PORT PRESTON COMPANY - MAJUN
Birdon completed the dry-docking of the CITIC Pacific mining owned Majun Tug. The mining terminal towage tug was delivered safely and on schedule by Birdon.
MARITIME SAFETY QUEENSLAND AID TO NAVIGATION WORKBOATS
The Queensland Government contracted Birdon to build 3, 12 metre Aid to Navigation (AtoN) Workboats required by Maritime Safety Queensland.
NSW POLICE BOATS
Birdon was contracted to build a fleet of 7 new Class 2 monohull patrol vessels for use by the NSW Police Force.
