In 2019, Birdon was engaged by Transdev Sydney Ferries, on behalf of Transport NSW to design and construct of passenger ferries for Sydney Harbour and the Paramatta River.

Applying its proven Australian manufacturing methodology, Birdon was able to deliver solutions to meet challenging scheduling demands.

  • Weight: 17.5 tonne, aluminium build

  • Design and construction of 3 new 35m Emerald Class catamaran Passenger Ferries
  • Size: 35m x 9.9m x 1.9m
  • Weight: 45 tonne, aluminium build
