EX-HMAS SIRIUS
Ex-HMAS Sirius was built as a double hulled commercial product tanker, purchased by the Commonwealth Government in 2004.
Birdon was contracted to complete the demolition of this 10,000 tonne vessel, representing the largest maritime structure in Australia to undergo environmentally controlled disposal.

GARDEN ISLAND DREDGING
In 2020, Birdon successfully delivered a dredging contract at Garden Island Naval Base.
DOF SUBSEA - RECYCLING PROJECT
Experienced across the Oil and Gas Disposal sector, Birdon was engaged by DOF Subsea to recycle the Mutineer, Exeter, Fletcher and Finucane (MEFF) asset group, Mid Water Arches (MWA) and Disconnectable Turret Mooring (DTM).
EX-HMAS TOBRUK
Birdon was contracted to environmentally sanitise, prepare and scuttle the decommissioned ex-HMAS Tobruk for use as an artificial reef and dive site in Hervey Bay.
EX-HMAS SYDNEY
The Department of Defence awarded Birdon the contract to disassemble and recycle ex-HMAS Sydney.
US NAVY DIEGO GARCIA SUPPORT FACILITY SCRAP METAL & WASTE REMOVAL
In 2021, Birdon was awarded a contract by the US Navy to remove scrap metal and other solid waste such as plastic and tires from the island of Diego Garcia, located in the British Indian Ocean Territory.
