We are looking for the right applicant to join our team in the role of Business Administration Officer Trainee.
This is an entry level role designed to provide valuable hands-on experience and training in various administrative functions within our organisation. As a trainee you will work closely with a team of experienced professionals, learning essential skills, while gaining a solid foundation in administrative operations.

As a part of this two-year traineeship, you will achieve a nationally recognised qualification.
Key Accountabilities:
- Data Entry and Records Management: Assist in accurately inputting and maintaining various data, records, and documents using digital platforms and office software. Learn proper filing and indexing techniques to ensure efficient retrieval of information.
- Assistant Security Officer: Provide support to the Security Officer (HSEQ & Training Manager) in keeping Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) documentation up to date.
- Document Preparation: Support the People and Culture team and the Heath, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) Team in drafting, editing, and formatting documents, reports, and correspondence. Gain exposure to business writing and formatting standards.
- Document Control: Coordinate the Birdon Integrated Management System (BIMS) policy and procedure library. Learn about version control of documents and updating documents as required. Manage the library of Australian and International Standards.
- Scheduling and Coordination: Assist in scheduling training and medical appointments, meetings, and events. Learn to coordinate calendars and manage resources to ensure smooth operations. Record meeting minutes and distribute to stakeholders. Ensure noticeboards, both electronic and physical are kept up to date. Let workers know about upcoming appointments, meetings, and training.
