This month, Birdon wished our longest serving employee good luck in his retirement. John (Johnno/Coops) Cooper has worked with Birdon for 37 years with the support of his amazing wife, Heather. Johnno commenced his service with Birdon under the late Jim Bruce, and served in Birdon’s Dredging Division for most of his Birdon career, also spending time with our Marine Division servicing and repairing ships. Having mastered the dark art of dredging, Johnno will always remain a well-loved member of the Birdon family and we wish him and Heather every success in the future. As Birdon’s longest serving employee, Johnno proudly passed an inscribed baton to Anthony (Ants) Rutledge, to build on the strong legacy that he leaves.
