Birdon has commenced the construction of the Young Endeavour II at our shipyard in Port Macquarie.

The project will see a new Sail Training Ship (STS) constructed to replace Royal Australian Navy’s brigantine STS Young Endeavour. The new vessel will enable Australian Youth to continue to participate in development programs and sail training under the Young Endeavour Youth Scheme.

Birdon is responsible for the design, engineering, and integration of all vessel systems including mechanical, electrical, propulsion, communications and navigation.

The Young Endeavour replacement will comply with the LY3 yacht code and Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA).
