Major General David Mulhall retired from the Australian Regular Army in 2019, serving in Australia and abroad for over 36 years. With specialisation in logistics and nearly a decade in senior command appointments, David has deep experience in military operations, logistics and maintenance service delivery, commercial contracting, capability development, enterprise risk management, and Ministerial and Parliamentary relations.
Following his retirement, David was appointed the Senior Advisor (Defence Reform) to the Minister for Defence. He was lead advisor for the delivery and public announcement of the 2000 Defence Strategic Update and 2020 Force Structure Plan.
David commenced providing strategic advice to corporate clients in early 2021 before joining the National COVID-19 Vaccination Task Force as the national lead for vaccination rollout to Australia’s disability sector and aged care workers.
Today, David provides strategic advice to corporate clients seeking to improve their service offerings and delivery performance. Clients include ASX listed companies, public-sector agencies, and not-for-profit organisations. David has been appointed as the Non-Executive Chair of the Birchtree Foundation (mental health charity), as a Director on the Board of the Commonwealth Superannuation Corporation, and as an Independent Advisor to the Birdon Advisory Board.
