Conceived, funded and led by Birdon, this project brings together a world class team of wholly Australian owned companies. Jointly designed by Birdon and multi award winning naval architects Incat Crowther, this new class of landing vessel has been designed to operate in the Indo-Pacific, meeting a wide range of requirements for the Australian Army now and in the future.

When completed, the vessel will be a full scale operational proof concept for Birdon’s proposed Littoral Manoeuvre Vessel – Medium (LVM-M) offered under the LAND8710 Phase 1A RAFT, delivering capability beyond any other landing craft of its size currently in service or advertised globally.

The vessel is being constructed at Echo Marine Group in Henderson, Western Australia, supporting new jobs right throughout the supply chain.
