Marine Rescue Vessel named after Jim Bruce

This week, Marine Rescue NSW celebrated the commissioning of their new vessel, PM21 “Jim Bruce”. The vessel has been named after Birdon’s founder who established the strong relationship with the Marine Rescue unit in Port Macquarie that continues today.

Birdon CEO, Jamie Bruce, CFO, Tammy Bugler, and Jim’s wife, Dawn Bruce, were invited to attend the commissioning and blessing ceremony. Also in attendance were The Hon. David Elliott, The Hon. Leslie Williams, and Commissioner Stacey Tannos.

The ceremony was a great way to come together to remember Jim and to celebrate the new vessel with Marine Rescue.
