Birdon’s Commitment to Supporting Bravery Trust Through Bravery Trek

The team at Birdon, are strong believers in the power of community and the importance of giving back. This year, we were a proud sponsor of the Bravery Trek program, supporting Bravery Trust in its mission to provide financial assistance to veterans facing hardship

Bravery Trek is a virtual distance challenge that celebrates the service of Australian veterans and raises vital funds to support those who have served during contemporary wars. Participants can choose to walk, run, roll, or swim 10km or 50km each week for five weeks, collecting achievement badges along the way. This year, Birdon had up to 20 team members take part in the challenge, proudly wearing Bravery Trek T-shirts to advocate for the important work that Bravery Trust does.

Sponsoring events like Bravery Trek allows us to live out our values of family culture and trust by supporting initiatives that make a real difference in the lives of veterans and their families. We were proud that our team completed 2,146km and raised a total of $833 through their participation.

The 2024 Bravery Trek also allowed us to raise awareness about the challenges faced by veterans. By participating in the virtual challenge and proudly wearing Bravery Trek T-shirts, our team members helped spread the word about the support available through Bravery Trust.

In addition to the virtual challenge, some of our team members also enjoyed taking part in the Bravery Trek event held at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne. This event corresponded with the Land Forces conference, providing a unique opportunity for our team to engage with the broader community and further advocate for the important work of Bravery Trust.

We were also delighted to be invited to join the Bravery Trust team, veterans and other community leaders to join the Governor General to walk along the Sydney Harbour in recognition of Veteran’s Health Week.

We are incredibly proud of our team’s efforts and the positive impact of our sponsorship. As we look to the future, we remain committed to supporting initiatives that align with our values and contribute to the well-being of our community. Together, we can continue to make a difference and uphold the spirit of family culture and trust that defines Birdon.
